Real Development, Not Chaos

Most youth soccer looks busy, but kids do not get enough meaningful touches or real decisions. NanoSoccer puts every player in the action, so they build confidence, game awareness, and real skills faster without needing extra private training.

In bigger-sided games, many kids go long stretches barely involved, especially newer or less confident players. A few players end up dominating the ball, while others unintentionally fade out. With NanoSoccer’s small-sided formats, everyone stays engaged and gets constant chances to dribble, pass, defend, and shoot in real game moments.

Smaller spaces also create more decision-making opportunities, including when to drive forward, when to pass, how to find space, and how to win the ball back. Those game reps are how soccer IQ develops, and they are hard to get with limited touches. NanoSoccer speeds up learning in a supportive setting, so parents see steady progress week to week, and kids stay excited to play.

What Parents Are Saying

“I loved everything about this Nanosoccer, my son has greatly improved, friendly, organized, informative. We will sign up every year! Thank you for doing this.” – Tracy G

“Having my kids get a better grasp of the mechanics of the game: position, passing, strategy. Not just a pack running aimlessly. And the technique of nano soccer (smaller team, smaller field, more time actually with the ball playing) was very beneficial for both my kids and built their confidence.”. – AYSO Burbank Parent Survey Response, Spring 2024

“The coaches are incredibly kid friendly. Our child likes his coach and the coaches seem to genuinely like children” – Beau D.

“Lots of play time for each kid and a very positive approach to coaching — really kept my kid (who is brand new to soccer) very enthusiastic and encouraged!” – Collette M.

Why Choose the Nanosoccer Format? The Nanosoccer format is a cornerstone of our Spring Development League, offering a unique approach to youth soccer that prioritizes skill development, player engagement, and enjoyment of the game. This innovative format is designed to meet the developmental needs of young athletes in a fun, supportive environment. Here's why the Nanosoccer format is beneficial for your child: Enhanced Skill Development: More Touches on the Ball: The smaller team sizes and field dimensions ensure that each player gets more opportunities to touch the ball, fostering better ball control and individual skill development. Focused Attention: With fewer players on the field, coaches can provide more personalized feedback and instruction, helping each player improve their technique and understanding of the game.

What an outstanding soccer league! The coaches are real soccer professionals who foster a wonderful, deliberate, welcoming, fun soccer learning experience for the kids. My five year old is having such a great time!! I did AYSO growing up in LA, and I always thought my kids would do AYSO too, but this is perfect. An absolute gem of a program.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Exactly what we wanted. Our son wanted to try soccer, so we signed him up for Spring Nanno-soccer with So.Cal. Youth Sports. The small group size gave everyone a chance to practice and play. Our coach, Oliver, was calm, cool, and collected -- imo, that patience helps keep it fun for everyone! Our son tends to be competitive, but we were glad that wasn't the focus here -- it was more encouraging, all about learning the sport, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun. (Bonus for me with Nanno-soccer: one location, no traveling different places every weekend.)
