Discover the Pasadena Youth Soccer League, a modern youth soccer experience for players ages U6–U12, designed around professional coaching, thoughtful structure, and how kids actually learn and enjoy the game.

Our Fall season is currently open for registration and runs September through November, offering families a focused, development-first league experience in a fun and supportive environment.

The Pasadena Youth Soccer League is part of our year-round NanoSoccer program, with Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons that allow players to continue developing at their own pace throughout the year. Families can join for a single season or participate across multiple seasons based on interest and availability.

Through nano-sided games and professional, child-centered coaching, we create an environment where players are constantly involved — building confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for the game. Scheduling is designed intentionally to support learning and consistency for players and families.

Fall location and schedule details are confirmed below. Your team’s exact practice assignment and any updates will appear in Playbook Connect.

This is soccer designed to be simple, joyful, and accessible — for every family and every player.

Why SoCal Youth Sports + NanoSoccer is different:

 Pasadena Youth Soccer League Overview

The Spring 2026 season of the Pasadena Youth Soccer League is built around a simple idea: kids thrive when soccer is designed for them. Play should be joyful, engaging, and development-focused—not adult-centered or outcome-obsessed. With nearly 72% of kids leaving organized sports by age 13, our mission is to help rewrite that story.

This season emphasizes learning through play using our Nano Soccer / Futsal formats. Smaller numbers mean more touches, more decisions, and more moments that matter. Every session is intentionally designed to keep players active, curious, and confident while building real game understanding—not just running drills.

Our coaching approach blends Teaching Games for Understanding, game sense, and constraints-led design, allowing players to explore solutions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Less standing, less waiting, more playing. That’s the Nano way.

Families will use the Playbook Connect app as the central hub for schedules, team communication, and season updates. Full program logistics—including dates, location, age groups, and pricing—can be found on the official program page:

Most importantly, we ask parents to embrace a simple role this spring: support the joy. Let your kids play, explore, and enjoy the process. This season isn’t about trophies or tables—it’s one chapter in a lifelong relationship with movement, sport, and confidence.

Spring is for growth. For smiles. For falling a little more in love with the game.

Parent Questions, Answered

Where do we arrive and park?

All practices and games are at Willard Elementary School, 301 S. Madre Street. Enter from Madre Street; the staff lot is accessed from Willard Avenue via Thordale Avenue.

How do I find my child’s team schedule?

Download Playbook Connect and log in with the email used for registration. It is the central place for team information, schedules and league updates.

What does NanoSoccer mean?

We use smaller teams and smaller games so every child gets more touches, decisions and chances to build confidence. It is real soccer, designed around how children learn best.

What should my child bring?

Bring shin guards and water. Players may wear trainers or cleats as appropriate for the surface. We provide the coaching, balls and session equipment.

What happens if a session is cancelled?

We communicate weather or field updates through Playbook Connect. Where a practice cannot be replaced, families may be offered another suitable practice session where space allows.

Can my child move groups?

Yes. We may move players when it creates a better level of challenge, confidence or enjoyment. We will communicate with families when that is appropriate.

What Parents Are Saying

“I loved everything about this Nanosoccer, my son has greatly improved, friendly, organized, informative. We will sign up every year! Thank you for doing this.” – Tracy G

“Having my kids get a better grasp of the mechanics of the game: position, passing, strategy. Not just a pack running aimlessly. And the technique of nano soccer (smaller team, smaller field, more time actually with the ball playing) was very beneficial for both my kids and built their confidence.”. – AYSO Burbank Parent Survey Response, Spring 2024

“The coaches are incredibly kid friendly. Our child likes his coach and the coaches seem to genuinely like children” – Beau D.

“Lots of play time for each kid and a very positive approach to coaching — really kept my kid (who is brand new to soccer) very enthusiastic and encouraged!”Collette M.

Why Choose the Nanosoccer Format? The Nanosoccer format is a cornerstone of our Spring Development League, offering a unique approach to youth soccer that prioritizes skill development, player engagement, and enjoyment of the game. This innovative format is designed to meet the developmental needs of young athletes in a fun, supportive environment. Here's why the Nanosoccer format is beneficial for your child: Enhanced Skill Development: More Touches on the Ball: The smaller team sizes and field dimensions ensure that each player gets more opportunities to touch the ball, fostering better ball control and individual skill development. Focused Attention: With fewer players on the field, coaches can provide more personalized feedback and instruction, helping each player improve their technique and understanding of the game.
