We are launching a new youth soccer Match Day Pass, giving players currently registered in the Pasadena Youth Soccer League (PYSL) another opportunity to play in the Glendale Youth Soccer League (GYSL) for just $10 per player.

Why pilot a youth soccer Match Day Pass?
At SoCal Youth Sports, we want to create more meaningful opportunities for children to play. Young players develop through involvement: making decisions, solving problems, trying new ideas and spending more time with the ball at their feet.
The Match Day Pass is a pilot program that allows us to explore a more flexible way for families to add extra soccer without committing to another full league schedule. It also gives Pasadena players the chance to meet new teammates and experience our Glendale match-day environment.
What we learn from this pilot will help us develop the idea for future seasons. Our goal is for Match Day Passes to become an optional league add-on, and potentially to introduce the model in other SoCal Youth Sports locations as our programs grow.
Who can join the youth soccer Match Day Pass?
For this initial pilot, the offer is available only to players currently registered on a PYSL roster. It is not open to the general public during this season.
Players will join the appropriate GYSL age group and will be assigned to a team based on age and available space. Every match day will continue to follow our child-first, professionally coached approach, with small-sided games designed to keep players active and involved.
Sunday kickoff times
- U6: 8:00am kickoff — arrive by 7:45am
- U8: 8:45am kickoff — arrive by 8:30am
- U10: 9:30am kickoff — arrive by 9:15am
All games take place at Glorietta Park in Glendale. Players should bring soccer shoes, shin guards and plenty of water. A team shirt or bib will be provided if required.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. The fee is $10 for each selected GYSL match day.

Can any child join this Match Day Pass?
Not during this pilot. The $10 pass is currently available only to children listed on a PYSL roster for this season. Families who are not registered can explore our Pasadena and Glendale youth soccer leagues using the links above.
Where are the extra youth soccer games played?
Match Day Pass games take place on Sunday mornings at Glorietta Park in Glendale. U6 plays at 8:00am, U8 at 8:45am and U10 at 9:30am. Advance registration is required because places depend on age-group availability.
