Week of November 2 to 8, 2026
This week at SoCal Youth Sports, we are looking ahead to Battle of the Cities, the Winter League early bird deadline and our school holiday camps. There is World Cup excitement for our Pasadena and AYSO Burbank players this week too, alongside classes and clinics across our communities.
Battle of the Cities: bring your team, represent your city
Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena are coming together for an end of season tournament on Saturday, November 21 at Willard Elementary, Pasadena. Current AYSO Burbank, Glendale Youth Soccer League and Pasadena Youth Soccer League players will compete alongside their existing season teams.
- U6: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
- U8: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- U10: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- U12: 2:30 to approximately 4:30 p.m.
Each division has a two hour window including 90 minutes of play. Entry is $20 per player or $80 per team. Registration closes November 20 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. Speak with your coach, select your division and enter your current league, team and coach when registering.

Winter Soccer League: save $50 before November 10
A familiar team, new friendships and another chance to try. Our professionally coached Winter Soccer League welcomes beginners and returning players ages 4½ to 12, bringing families from Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena together at one shared venue.
- Season: December 1, 2026 to February 6, 2027.
- Venue: ISANA Octavia Academy, 2911 N San Fernando Road, Los Angeles.
- Practice: Choose Tuesday or Wednesday. U6 and U8 practise from 6 to 7 p.m.; U10 and U12 from 7 to 8 p.m. Final placement confirms your day and time.
- Games: Saturdays, with kickoff times shared in your team schedule.
- Early bird: $275 per player through November 10 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, saving $50 on the standard price.
A league shirt is included. Sibling discounts and payment plans are available. There are no league practices or games from December 20 through January 4 inclusive. Tuesday practices resume January 5, Wednesday practices January 6 and Saturday games January 9.

Nike Soccer Camps: choose your school holiday
Make room for three days of soccer, playful challenges and time with friends at Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane. Our Nike Soccer Camps welcome boys and girls ages 5 to 14.
- Thanksgiving Camp: November 23 to 25, 2026.
- Winter Camp: December 21 to 23, 2026.
- Half day: 9 a.m. to noon.
- Full day: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

PYSL World Cup Day is this Saturday
Pasadena families, get ready for World Cup Day on Saturday, November 7! Teams will be released shortly. Keep an eye out for your team announcement as we get ready to share the excitement with our players and families.
AYSO Burbank World Cup Night and clinics
Friday, November 6: Free 3v3 World Cup soccer for registered AYSO Burbank U8 players, including the merged U7 division, at Providencia Elementary. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for an approximate 8:30 p.m. finish. Team coaches must attend. Players should wear their team uniform or an agreed matching colour.
U10 families can also look ahead to their World Cup Night on November 13. View eligibility and register for your AYSO event.
Clinics at Providencia Elementary continue on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday offers shooting and goalkeeper clinics; Friday offers skills, shooting and goalkeeper clinics. U7 to U10 sessions run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; U11 to U14 sessions run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Soccer classes and practice this week
GYSL: Wednesday practice at Pelanconi Park, with U6 from 4 to 5 p.m. and U8 and U10 from 5 to 6 p.m.
Pasadena, Eaton Blanche Park: Ages 4 to 6 on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Thursday brings Mommy, Daddy & Me at 3 p.m. and ages 3 to 4 and 4 to 6 at 4 p.m. Sunday has Mommy, Daddy & Me at 9 a.m. and ages 3 to 4 at 10 a.m.
Glendale: Ages 3 to 4 at Montrose Community Park on Tuesday at 10 a.m.; Mommy, Daddy & Me at Maple Park on Wednesday at 10 a.m.; goalkeeper training at Glorietta Park on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Burbank, Verdugo Park: Ages 3 to 4 on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Check the live listing for the toddler session date before booking.
